Overview

Western Oklahoma State College, also known as WOSC, is located in Altus, Oklahoma, United States. It was established in the year 1926 as Altus Junior College. It adopted its current name in 1974. WOSC offers an array of degrees and programs in diverse areas of study and is organized into various academic divisions.

WOSC is home to many student organizations and clubs including the Students Senate, Aggie Club, Baptist Student’s Union, Behavioral Science Club, Phi Theta Kappa, Criminal Justice Club, Rodeo Club, Nursing Club, and Psi Beta.

Western Oklahoma State College's sports teams are called the Western. The mascot is called the Pioneers. The basic colors are green and gold. The college participates in a number of sports including men's basketball, softball, women's basketball, rodeo, baseball, and golf.
