Overview

Western Oregon University was founded in 1856. It is currently a public organization of liberal arts but was initially founded as a private college. It is situated in Monmouth, Oregon. The university offers bachelors and masters degree in numerous areas of study. Courses are also offered to international students. WOU is organized into the following academic divisions:

WOU offers a number of financial aid and scholarship programs for its potential students. It has an active student administration that concentrates on individual success. The campus is also home to several student clubs and organizations, including Anime Club, Boggle Club and Harry Potter Club.

Athletics

School sports include football, basketball, baseball, and track. The school is in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference for major sports.
