Western Seminary

The Western Seminary is a conservative evangelical seminary dealing with theology. It was founded by the efforts of Walter B. Hinson in 1927 and has campus in Portland, Oregon. The college also has other campuses at San Jose and Sacramento. The Portland campus of the western seminary offers graduate study programs leading to master’s degree in disciplines such as theology, divinity, biblical studies, counseling, specialized ministries, and intercultural studies. The college also offers doctoral programs on ministry, divinity, and missiology. The college also offers graduate studies, diplomas and certificates.

The Western Seminary offers the students excelling in Greek language and literature with the prestigious Zondervan Greek Award. The college has a dedicated women’s center as well as a student information system service for the students. The college hosts the Sturgeon Fellowship which is actively involved in publication of literary journals.
