Overview

Western State College of Colorado is located in Gunnison, Colorado, United States. It was founded in 1901. It was originally set up as the Colorado State Normal School by Governor James B. Orman.

Some of the popular majors of the college are art, business, biology, recreation, and a double major in recreation and business.

Western State College of Colorado has more than 50 student-run clubs, newspaper, music, theatre, art, radio, and intramural sports. The college has Special Interest Clubs, Athletic Clubs, and Academic Clubs that assist in the overall development of the students.

The college's sports teams are nicknamed the Mountaineers. They are members of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
