Western University of Health Sciences, also referred to as WesternU, is located in Pomona, California, United States. It was established in 1977. Philip Pumerantz, PhD, served as the founding president of WesternU.
The university campus spreads across an area of more than 20 acres and comprises of nine major buildings. More than 2,000 students enroll in the university every year. WesternU is organized into the following academic colleges:
- College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific
- College of Allied Health Professions
- College of Graduate Nursing
- College of Pharmacy
- College of Veterinary Medicine
Students of the university are involved in several clubs and organizations including the American College of Family Practitioners, American Medical Women's Association, Armenian Student Association, and Biomedical Research and Literature Club.
