Western Technical College

Western Technical College, formerly known as Western Wisconsin Technical College, was founded in 1912, and is situated in La Crosse, Wisconsin. It is a part of the Wisconsin Technical College System. After several name and status changes, it was named Western Wisconsin Technical College in 1987.

The college has an enrollment of more than 6,000 program students, and over 12,000 continuing education students. Programs of study at WWTC include various technical diplomas, certificates and Associate of Applied Science degrees. The college has extended campuses in:

  • Black River Falls
  • Independence
  • Mauston
  • Sparta, Wisconsin
  • Tomah
  • Viroqua

WWTC has an active student life, and offers more than 30 clubs and organizations for the overall development of the students. The sports teams of the college are nicknamed the Cavaliers.
