Overview

Westminster College was founded in 1852. Its objective was to create a college that would endorse Christian values while focusing on the educational, social, and emotional development of its students. The college occupies a 300-acre campus and provides many facilities including more than 20 buildings, several athletic fields, a 100-acre outdoor laboratory, 10 tennis courts, and the Brittain Lake. Westminster College offers degrees and certificate programs in various disciplines including the Arts, Science, Business, Communication, Health, Education and others.

The Washington Monthly Annual College Guide for the year 2007 ranked Westminster College in the 15th position among liberal arts colleges in the country. Students of Westminster College are active in various extra-curricular activities such as the athletic teams, student clubs, and student organizations. The college's fraternities include Phi Kappa Tau, Alpha Sigma Phi, Theta Chi, Sigma Nu, Sigma Phi Epsilon, and its sororities include Phi Mu, Kappa Delta, Sigma Kappa, Alpha Gamma Delta, and Zeta Tau Alpha.
