Overview

Wheeling Jesuit University, also known as WJU, is a private, coeducational university of liberal arts located in Wheeling, West Virginia, United States. It was established in the year 1954 by the Society of Jesus, the Jesuits. The main campus has over a dozen buildings that spread across an area of 65-acres. The university offers various major and minor degrees in the fields of arts and science.

Wheeling Jesuit University is home to more than 15 students clubs and organizations. Some of them are the Open and Aware Students Helping Other Students organization, International Student Club, Appalachian Experience Club, Circle K International, and the Campus Activities Board (CAB), among others. Wheeling Jesuit University publishes a student-run newspaper known as "The Cardinal Connection."
