Overview
Whittier College is a private, liberal arts school located in Whittier, California, United States. It was established in 1887 by members of the Religious Society of Friends. It was chartered by the State of California in 1901. As of January 2009, the college had over 1,000 students enrolled.
Whittier College provides a choice of 30 majors in more than 20 disciplines. The college campus spreads across an area of 74 acres. The campus houses numerous residential halls and buildings including an outdoor amphitheatre, a chapel, two auditoriums, and an art gallery.
Whittier College is home to numerous clubs and organizations. Some of them are the Music Business Club, Breakdancing Club, Martial Arts Club, and Psychology Club. This academic year, the college campus enrolled more than 30 international students from over 15 countries.
