Overview

Wingate University is located in Wingate, North Carolina, United States. It was founded in 1896 by the North Carolina Baptist Association. The main campus spreads across an area of approximately 400 acres and has over 30 buildings. Wingate is a liberal arts university that offers a number of undergraduate majors, bachelor degrees, and master degrees in the field of business, communication, elementary education, education, physical education, and sports administration. The university also offers International study and travel programs to students.

The University is home to more than 40 clubs and organization and over 8 honor societies. It has an active Greek life that consists of fraternities such as Delta Sigma Phi, Kappa Alpha Order, Phi Beta Sigma Order, Pi Kappa Phi; and sororities such as Alpha Xi Delta, Chi Omega, Sigma Sigma Sigma, and Zeta Phi Beta.
