Overview

Wisconsin Lutheran College, WLC, was established in the fall of 1973. Founded by members of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod, this liberal arts college has a 40-acre campus in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The 2009 edition of Forbes placed Wisconsin Lutheran College at the 128th position in its list of 600 of America's Best Colleges.

Wisconsin Lutheran College grants the Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, and Bachelor of Science in Nursing degrees. Students can choose from more than 25 majors and over 20 minors. A number of pre-professional programs of study are also available.

The student body of Wisconsin Lutheran College includes representatives from over 25 states and 10 foreign countries. They are actively involved in on-campus organizations like the Art Club, H.A.N.D.S., Cross Boundaries, the Student Senate, Vision of Hope, the Power Surge Dance Team, and the Wisconsin Lutheran College Concert Band. The student newspaper is known as "The Sword". The college athletics teams, which are nicknamed the Warriors, participate in baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, track and field, soccer, volleyball, tennis, softball, and football.
