Overview
Wytheville Community College, also referred to as WCC, is located in Wytheville, Virginia, United States. It was established in 1963. The college enrolled about 107 students in its first year. It joined the Virginia Community College System on July 1, 1967. WCC’s campus covers more than 140 acres in Wytheville. The first campus building was constructed in September 1968. The college serves the residents of Carroll, Bland, Grayson, parts of Wythe, and Smyth counties, and also the City of Galax.
WCC offers a number of scholarship programs including the Agriculture Scholarship Endowment, Chet A Brown Memorial Scholarship Endowment, John Emory and Flora Baker Anderson Scholarship Endowment, Angela Denise Crockett Memorial Scholarship Endowment, and many more.
There are several student clubs and organizations at WCC. Some of these are the Association of Computing Machinery Club, Regional Physical Therapist Assistant Club, International Association of Administrative Professionals, Dental Hygiene Club, Wytheville Community College Writers' Guild, Phi Theta Kappa, Forensics Club, and Phi Beta Lambda.
