Overview

Xavier University is a private, Jesuit, co-educational university located in Cincinnati, Ohio. It was established in 1831 as a men's college called the Athenaeum. Xavier is the nation’s fourth oldest Jesuit University and the sixth oldest Catholic university. Its campus is spread across an area of 125 acres. Xavier has been consistently ranked among the top ten universities in the Midwest over the last 13 years by the U.S. News & World Report. The university offers 74 majors through the following academic divisions:
