"For the value, I think KCC is wonderful. Beautiful Diamond Head is behind you and the beach is nearby. Can't beat the price either."

CharacteristicRatingComment
Would Recommend?yesKCC was an excellent choice for beginning my education. I transferred to the University of Arizona and I know that stuff I learned at KCC benefited me in the long run.
Program Reputation8It's a great start for those kids who don't know what they want to do with their lives. Getting a well-rounded education is an under appreciated aspect of learning.
Program Quality7It's a beautiful campus and I felt I learned a lot in a well-rounded education setting. The instructors were close and the class sizes were small.
Instruction8The instructors were professional and fair in grading. I never felt like I had a second rate education because they offered challenging material.
How Difficult5I'm a pretty smart guy that went to community college because of financial reasons. It wasn't difficult for me, but I could see how others would be challenged.
Hands-On vs. BookishI've done field work projects for natural science courses. But then there's also loads of lectures as well.
Schedule Flexibility8KCC was very flexible. They offered online classes and also weekend courses.
Academic Facilities6There was a library and computer labs. Also, there's a large cafeteria with excellent food and a big courtyard in which to study and hold events.
Social Life3A community college doesn't have the same feel as a university. Meeting people is possible, but usually through academics, not social settings.
Placement Services2As far as I know, no job placement exists. No career services come to mind.
Alumni Network2As far as I know, there aren't any famous alumni from KCC. Maybe there are in the culinary field because that's what the school is known for.
