"I would go back to college tomorrow. I love my job and my company, but nothing beats that experience."

Ratings are on a 1-10 scale

Would Recommend?yesThe school has excellent professors that get to know students on a personal basis. The majority of them live in Greenville (the city right near Clemson) and I run into them all the time. They always want to know how things are going.
Program Reputation8Clemson has a great Business school. We were ranked in top 20 of schools in 2008.
Program Quality8Great professors and clubs to participate in. I wish there was more than 1 focus presented, such as external vs internal audit and business vs personal tax.
Instruction7The information taught at all colleges are “perfect world scenarios.” I learned much more after being in work force.
How Difficult8Professors were great with helping to strike a good school/life balance. Any accounting major is going to be slightly difficult the further along you get into the program.
Hands-On vs. BookishBeginner classes were focused more on book learning because of the high volume of business majors that need the gen ed requirements. The higher the level of the accounting class was, the more projects and presentations were involved.
Schedule Flexibility7Some accounting courses (junior-senior level) were only offered once in a semester. This was a hinderance sometimes.
Academic Facilities9The professors were all qualified and most had teaching assistants. They also had study groups for the accounting courses which the TAs taught.
Social Life10Clemson is great about engaging people in the school events. Of course, it is up to the individual to attend. However, I loved the college experience and atmosphere at Clemson. All ball fields are on campus so sporting events have the school tailgating on campus. It's a lot of fun.
Placement Services9I found my first job in Clemson as a staff auditor through their JobLink. Although, it didn't work out for me for personal reasons, the job and process was great!
Alumni Network8We have meetings regularly to discuss the jobs and opportunities available for Clemson Alums. They are mainly held in downtown Greenville during happy hour.

Would Recommend?YesIn the State of South Carolina, there is no place for a better accounting education. You graduate with a very well-respected and deserved degree.
Program Reputation10The School of Business at USC has attracted top-ranked professors and have major contributors to the school. Darla Moore has donated millions to the school and the School of Business is now named after her.
Program Quality10My credentials from USC allowed me to get a job within 3 months of earning my degree. I was then able within 4 months to take an even better, higher-paying job.
Instruction10My father was an educator and I had been around teachers and professors on a collegiate level all my life. The ones at USC are exceptional.
How Difficult8Back then, they were just adding the computer to the curriculum. The tests were by hand with no calculators or computers. You had to know your stuff.
Hands-On vs. BookishWith the change to computers you have to adopt a mix of learning techniques. USC School of Business has managed to combine the two quite effectively.
Schedule Flexibility10Now they have classes online that allow students to work and go to school on their own time. They can take a class when they can, not just when it is offered at the college.
Academic Facilities10With the continued donations of alumni like Darla Moore, the School of Business has improved its facilities and made computers available to all students. Professors and other students are there for anyone who needs help.
Social Life10USC has one of the biggest followings in sports, particular football. Their baseball team has finished #1 two years running. There's always parties and socializing going on.
Placement Services8USC provides interviewing processes to help all students find a job. I interviewed and was placed within 3 months of graduation.
Alumni Network9Even after 21 years, my alumni association still keeps in touch with me via e-mail and phone. They are very active in raising money and helping the students at the University.
Review your current or past school and help others make better career decisions.
