Would Recommend?yesI would recommend it due to the fact that I am satisfied overall with the school and the program. I believe that anyone who attends this college will, in fact, get a great education as well as improve their skills.
Program Reputation9Central New Mexico is known for its programs, including business administration as well as the trades and construction industry. The reputation that the school has is normal for the area and it is known to have programs that are transferable to other institutions.
Program Quality9The school/college is very satisfactory when implementing the program to it's students. The head of the program, as well as the additional information available for students, is helpful and useful when applying class work to real life situations.
Instruction9I do not believe in giving a 10 for extremely good quality of instruction as I believe there is always room for growth and potential improvement. The instruction is very good as is the opportunity to give feedback and receive further tutoring.
How Difficult7The work load is a lot considering that it is an accredited college for transferring to additional schools for future education. The workload is challenging but not too difficult if you know what you are doing and what is it that you need to research.
Hands-On vs. BookishMany courses involve books, though some do not require that you have to purchase textbooks. There is a lot of hands-on experience, especially with computer programs such as Word, Excel, and CAD.
Schedule Flexibility10Courses are extremely flexible at CNM. Some general courses are offered on Saturdays and during evenings. There are several locations around the state for convenience.
Academic Facilities9The facilities and resources are very good for their students. I found that in the program I was enrolled in, computer access, labs, advisers, and support from other students are all great.
Social Life5I was not extremely social at school since I was also working. However, the social atmosphere is good.
Placement Services6Although I've never taken advantage of their career services dept., I can look into it further and gain experience with job placements.
Alumni Network5I'm not sure about the alumni network system. Though I am a recent associate's degree holder, I feel that if I needed to gain more support from the college to transfer credits or get additional support I would be able to with the college.

"My school was inexpensive which was very important to me. They provided me with the flexibility I needed to be able to work while going to school."

Would Recommend?maybeIt is definitely a cost effective option but if you have the means to go to a top school, then I would. The electives, more so than the classes for my major, made the experience better.
Program Reputation5I honestly have never really heard anything about our marketing department's reputation. So therefore it is not stellar, but it's not sub par either.
Program Quality6I would definitely say NMSU has some great professors. However, the subjects that they teach could be more in depth and interesting. Most of the marketing classes were not as interactive as they should have been.
Instruction5The quality of instruction could have been better. I feel that the professors just gave me a book and let me go rather than trying to instill their knowledge into my education.
How Difficult4I would definitely say the work was not that hard. I worked 40+ hours a week and took 18 credit hours and still held a 3.0 GPA with minimal effort.
Hands-On vs. BookishMy school is definitely very geared towards book learning. I have had those few professors who love to get involved and teach their subjects with enthusiasm, and those were my favorite classes.
Schedule Flexibility10I took many classes online which really helped me work while going to school. Not many other schools have so many online options.
Academic Facilities6I think accessibility of professors really depends on the professor and not the school. They can encourage them constantly to be proactive with their students, but it doesn't mean they are going to be. I think I had enough resources even though sometimes the advisers were aggravating.
Social Life2My social experience was definitely not the fault of my school. I transferred schools and at my first one was very active on campus and in greek life. However, after my transfer I was more concerned with getting my degree finished.
Placement Services4They do provide access to a job website of employers looking to hire NMSU graduates or students, but it could definitely be expanded.
Alumni Network10There are numerous NMSU alumni all over the country working in various fields. There are also numerous graduates here in my community that can offer assistance.
