Ratings are on a 1-10 scale

Would Recommend?maybeChoosing a school is highly personal. The school I went to isn't famous for business programs, so it might not be appropriate for many people interested in pursuing my career. However, for a student who can apply general learning in multiple ways, I think that Monmouth is a great place to be.
Program Reputation8I think the school has a good reputation. The college has since become a university, which probably helps prestige. It is a smaller school, and probably best known for being originally a Normal School, and most recently, for the Police Academy.
Program Quality7The school I went to required me to do many research papers and required courses such as statistics. I think those exercises helped me develop skills in writing, research, and mathematics. Some colleges require much less actual research and writing.
Instruction6I think that the instruction I received was excellent. Classes were small enough that the instructors knew the individual students. The rating is not higher because the actual content of the courses I chose is only marginally related to the work I do. The skills I learned in the course of getting my degree have been invaluable.
How Difficult6I think that I have an aptitude for psychology and school. The courses were not too difficult for me. Based on conversations with students from other schools the course requirements were probably fairly average.
Hands-On vs. BookishI recall doing a lot of library research. There were, however, opportunities and requirements to do some more "hands on" assignments or internships.
Schedule Flexibility8I was able to arrange courses around work, and to arrange work around courses. There were enough options of course times to be satisfactory.
Academic Facilities10At the time I went to school, computers were not a big thing, and research was done at the library. The facilities were well stocked, staff and faculty were competent and available to help. As I mentioned before, faculty knew students by name, and were readily available to help.
Social Life9There were enough activities to keep me interested and involved. The size of the school helped me not feel invisible. People were friendly both on campus and off.
Placement Services7I didn't use the career services offered at my school. Because it is a smaller college, and faculty knew students by name, you could get good support. I know other students who used career services through the college with good results.
Alumni Network7I've not used any alumni support or attended alumni events from my school. I've heard from a friend that they have good events and people that can be helpful.
