Would Recommend?yesAs an accredited college offering many different degree programs and certificate programs, I would highly recommend UofAFS to others. Excellent faculty and staff, also a great school-minded student body. Overall, a satisfying place to further your education.
Program Reputation5In the area around the school the program has a high reputation for turning out qualified employees. I am unaware of the reputation throughout the rest of the country.
Program Quality7Very in-depth training program, covering several different vehicles and systems involved with each. The effort put into spreading the knowledge to the student from the faculty is fantastic.
Instruction7A great learning atmosphere, teaching students problem solving techniques and providing the knowledge to advance in that field. The time given to each student was optimal and the door was open for any problems or concerns with the program.
How Difficult5The program wasn't extremely difficult or easy. Many of my peers also passed along with myself.
Hands-On vs. BookishVery in depth, hands on tasks for each student to maximize the hands on experience. Equally as important is the book learning which helps to learn facts and address problems in the field.
Schedule Flexibility10From online to hands on classroom learning the course has many different schedules to fit each student. Rescheduling or changing the time of the course you are taking is also an option.
Academic Facilities9Excellent facilities, great library with access to media sources if not available at your home. Great shop for in class learning that gas any tool or machine needed for automotive work.
Social Life10There is much pride taken in athletics and school social events. The student body plays a big part in the events held at this campus.
Placement Services9Upon completion of the program the school offers a guarantee of job placement, and the career services are available to alumni in the event of a job loss.
Alumni Network7A little lacking with communication for different events. There are several events for the alumni to partake in and keep in contact with each other.
