CharacteristicRatingComment
Would Recommend?yesPine Tech is a good school for anyone pursuing a career in Auto Technology. It's perfect for people wanting to get through school quickly.
Program Reputation8Pine Tech has been shown to provide quality auto mechanics. Most mechanics I know have heard about the program at Pine Tech.
Program Quality10Pine Tech provides students with a lot of hands-on experience, as well as classroom knowledge. Instructors are available to answer questions and class sizes are very small.
Instruction8Instructors are experienced mechanics. The teaching is thorough and put into practice.
How Difficult6Work load outside of class was not high. However, there was a great deal of lab work in class and many hours spent in lab.
Hands-On vs. BookishThere is a good mix of book learning, followed by hands-on application. It's good concerning the hands-on aspect of my career.
Schedule Flexibility2Classes must be taken at a specific time and during a specific semester. There is very little flexibility.
Academic Facilities5For the size of the school, it is very good. However, there aren't many tutors and the advisors are not very helpful.
Social Life4Being a technical college, many students have full-time jobs and are only on campus for classes. There are few social events.
Placement Services6Students are required to go through a job-seeking class before graduation. They don't have a lot of resources to find an actual job, though.
Alumni Network2Pine Tech doesn't have much of an alumni program. Most students go on to another college.
