Would Recommend?yesI would definitely recommend my school to those looking for an accounting career. I felt that overall the school was adequate in teaching me the knowledge needed and did so in a very professional manner.
Program Reputation10University of North Florida has a great reputation as being a great business school. The have some of the highest accreditations.
Program Quality9My school provided a well rounded program for accounting. I felt I learned a lot about the accounting field.
Instruction7I felt the the instructors provided adequate information pertaining to my degree. However, I felt that they could have been more helpful in career preparation.
How Difficult8The course work was difficult but not impossible. I found it to be challenging.
Hands-On vs. BookishThere could have been more hands on learning. I don't feel that there was enough hands on learning to prepare for the actual duties of an accountant.
Schedule Flexibility8I was always able to find classes to fit within my schedule. However, some would fill up quickly and I don't recall having many online options.
Academic Facilities8All of the facilities and resources were adequate. A new library was built during my senior year, as were new classroom buildings.
Social Life6I was not very active in the social activities going on. They did have a lot of activities going on, but I chose to focus primarily on my coursework.
Placement Services6The school did provide career fairs, mock interviews, and other useful information for preparing for job placement. However, the opportunities for actually finding a job seemed limited because of conflicting dates and the number of applicants attending the career fairs.
Alumni Network4I do not feel very connected to the school's alumni network. However, they do send out a quarterly alumni newsletter via the mail.
