"I enjoyed my time at CSM. I learned a lot and have continued to use that knowledge."

Would Recommend?yesIt is a good place to learn and go on to another higher learning facility. The teachers are usually very helpful.
Program Reputation5The school I attended was the only local school. I am assuming the reputation is good but I didn't look at it compared to others.
Program Quality5In my opinion, schools are the same. It's the teachers who make a difference.
Instruction7My teachers were good at instructing, however they did not do a lot in regard to career planning. This didn't bother me at all.
How Difficult3My program was Accounting and I have always found it easy. I found that I didn't have to do much studying either.
Hands-On vs. BookishMy classes were not the type that had hands-on applications during instruction. I am a better learner through books anyway.
Schedule Flexibility8Since I was taking classes at night I think it was very flexible. I think they had weekend classes as well.
Academic Facilities8These are things I did not utilize. It would not be fair to say they were anything but good.
Social Life5I was an adult learning with a lot of kids fresh out of high school. This does not lend itself to socializing but I was aware of posters advertising clubs and functions all over the school.
Placement Services5As far as I know, they didn't provide job placement. If they had, I wouldn't have used it as I was already working full-time at a CPA firm.
Alumni Network5Alumni support is something that I never had a desire to look into. I am more of a solitary learner.

"The school was great. It provided lots of people the opportunity to get a degree that they ordinarily wouldn't have been able to. They were helpful in getting what we needed to graduate as well."

Would Recommend?yesI have recommended it to people. It's less expensive than the day school yet you still get a good, if not better, education. Everyone there is looking to work hard to move ahead in a career, so learning is easier.
Program Reputation5The University has a great reputation but is currently known to be difficult to get into. The program I chose was great, but I would like to see more people from Maryland getting help to get in.
Program Quality7Great program that enabled me to learn about business. With the requirements I am not only able to do bookkeeping but I can balance books and even put together reports for the office to make more cost effective decisions.
Instruction6The instructors were great. The curriculum was well put together to give me a full understanding of not only bookkeeping but how to use my skills to improve business, too. I would have liked to have had more hands on experience, but I understand why we didn't.
How Difficult3I have worked as a bookkeeper for many years. That made it easier for me to understand the materials quickly and enabled me to advance easily.
Hands-On vs. BookishThey had hands on for other programs, but mine was more book oriented. Although I enjoyed it, I would have liked to have more hands on work!
Schedule Flexibility7The school was perfect for me. It was mainly night courses and that's what I was looking for. In addition, the other students were in the same position and enabled us all to learn more.
Academic Facilities8The school is large and does offer lots of resources. In addition, my professors were always a phone call or a meeting away.
Social Life4The University College is a great school. There's not much spirit, etc as it's mainly for adults that are looking to go back to school and get their degrees.
Alumni Network2I never hear from my Alumni. I think I've gotten 2 pieces of mail looking for donations.

"As a school I found it unsatisfying because of the instructors. Not all were bad, but for almost all my evening classes, they didn't come close to my AA degree instructors."

Would Recommend?yesI got the degree, and the price was right. It's also close by, so it's convenient. And I believe that the less you spend for a degree, the better.
Program Reputation5IDK. I have not kept current with the school's reputation. I know it has a good law program.
Program Quality2I went to a Community College for my 1st two yrs. When I went to UB I couldn't believe the adjunct 'professors' that they hired! It was a major letdown! They, for the most part, were earning an extra income and not willing to put any effort for my education dollars.
Instruction6Again, the adjuncts would come late and let the class out early, with a whole lot of nothing thrown in the middle. But, the program was good and I did learn. So overall, I have to say 6.
How Difficult2I'm, ah, smart! And I was paying my own why and I wanted my money's worth.
Hands-On vs. BookishAccounting is both hands on & book learning, so I think UB had a good mix. The classes that needed to be more hands-on satisfied that requirement.
Schedule Flexibility10UB used to be a night school, so they still had many night classes. I don't remember ever having a problem with scheduling.
Academic Facilities8The library was great and very close to the main building. I didn't need tutors and made up my own study groups with classmates. Also, I didn't need the professors, that much I can remember.
Social Life5I had a great time, but it was because of people that I met in my classes and some were from my prior school. I don't think UB had any sports. The school was laid out in a way that was good for socializing.
Alumni Network5I honestly don't know, they used to contact me, but I can't remember if I told them to bug off or pay my tuition back.
