"I feel I received a quality education for the price. I feel I am well equipped to tackle any challenge that is thrown at me."
Ratings are on a 1-10 scale
| Characteristic | Rating | Comment |
|---|---|---|
| Would Recommend? | yes | I feel SNHU prepares students for a successful career in the accounting field. SNHU offers challenging classes in a comfortable atmosphere at an affordable price. |
| Program Reputation | 9 | SNHU still offers the BS-Accounting degree with many happy graduates. Although some students complain about campus life, I found the online classes to be above reproach. |
| Program Quality | 10 | SNHU offered me 1) challenging classes with free tutoring when needed, and 2) they offered the classes at a reasonable price. Bonus: The process of attaining federal student financial aid was confusing at best, but SNHU held my hand through the entire process. |
| Instruction | 10 | My Professors were knowledgeable and helpful in all aspects of the curriculum. The classes readied me for life off campus and offered real-world scenarios to draw from. |
| How Difficult | 8 | The difficulty level of the BS-Accounting degree was challenging, but fair. At times my workload seemed overwhelming, but all work had a direct relation to my chosen profession. |
| Hands-On vs. Bookish | Classes leaned more towards book learning with some lab work thrown into the mix. There was a strong emphasis on the use of technology and continued education revolving around the use of that technology. | |
| Schedule Flexibility | 10 | Classes are available on campus and online. I found the online classes much more convenient. I could attend class when it suited my schedule instead of being required to attend a class at a certain time. |
| Academic Facilities | 8 | Shapiro Library does not offer much in terms of an actual building with books in it, but the online collaboration is incredible. They maintain many subscriptions to many online databases to peruse inventories around the world. See http://www.snhu.edu/library.asp |
| Social Life | 5 | SNHU offers a wide variety of athletic programs, but does not offer much in terms of a social experience. The campus seems ethnically divided at times and, other than a pizza and beer pub, doesn't offer much as far as social activities. See http://www.snhupenmen.com/landing/index |
| Placement Services | 5 | I was not offered much in terms of job placement and career services. Although the Career Development Center was always available for my use, I never used their services. See http://www.snhu.edu/597.asp |
| Alumni Network | 8 | SNHU Alumni Association remains on campus in Manchester, New Hampshire to continue support for the more than 40,000 graduates. They offer a golf tournament, social networking opportunities, and several discount programs. See http://www.snhu.edu/2079.asp |
