Ratings are on a 1-10 scale
| Characteristic | Rating | Comment |
|---|---|---|
| Would Recommend? | yes | The college of business and accounting program are both AACSB accredited. WSU has a little bit of everything for students looking for diversity. |
| Program Reputation | 10 | The AACSB accreditation provides a good standing for students as they enter the workforce. The program will be in high demand as most CPA's will be retiring in the upcoming years. |
| Program Quality | 10 | WSU's business school has provided students with small classes all taught by actual professors; no TA's are allowed to teach. Both the college of business and the accounting program are AACSB accredited. |
| Instruction | 10 | Classes thoroughly enhanced my knowledge as teachers often had accounting careers prior to being teachers, allowing for real world examples. The teachers taught realizing we were looking for careers, not just textbook learning. |
| How Difficult | 7 | Anyone can do any college program if they put their mind and devotion to it. Accounting was a tough degree as there are so many intricacies to it. |
| Hands-On vs. Bookish | Accounting involves a lot of learning from the book. I like how the teachers incorporate real world examples, however. | |
| Schedule Flexibility | 8 | The one thing I wish I would have seen more of would be online classes. WSU is very limited in these. I did like their flexibility with the schedule of classes. |
| Academic Facilities | 8 | The business school had its own personal business librarian. Apart from this, there were 24 hour computing labs to utilize as a resource. |
| Social Life | 6 | There are so many different organizations at WSU to be involved with. My rating is lower because I did not attend many of them. |
| Placement Services | 10 | WSU has a career services site through which they send student resumes to prospective employers. Apart from the site, they also have career fairs available to their students. |
| Alumni Network | 5 | I recently graduated and am not too familiar with the Alumni network. I do know that Alumni can attend career fairs, which is good. |
