"I enjoyed the personal time instructors took with the students. They were very thorough with the curriculum."

| Would Recommend? | yes | It is an excellent school for locals in SW Pennsylvania. They really care about their students and take extra steps to help with anything needed. |
| Program Reputation | 9 | The school had just opened when I attended and was quite small. They have since grown and now offer many more majors. |
| Program Quality | 9 | They were very thorough in the accounting courses. They also provided intern positions as part of our curriculum. |
| Instruction | 9 | The instructors took time to make sure we understood and retained the information they were teaching. Smaller class sizes ensured more one on one interaction with the instructors. |
| How Difficult | 5 | I believe the curriculum was not challenging at times. Maybe they were catering to students that needed more time or attention. |
| Hands-On vs. Bookish | Small classes allowed us to have more hands on learning. The owner of the school is a CPA and I worked for his firm during tax season. That knowledge is priceless and wasn't something I could have learned from a text book. | |
| Schedule Flexibility | 4 | When I attended this school classes were only offered during normal business hours. I believe they have since opened up their schedule to include evening classes. |
| Academic Facilities | 7 | The facilities and resources were adequate when I attended this school. They are now a much larger school and probably have better resources available to their students. |
| Social Life | 9 | The social opportunities at this school were very minimal. There weren't any sports programs or organized events for the students. |
| Placement Services | 8 | Since this was a local business school, the job placement assistance was regional. They really don't help much if you have moved out of state. |
| Alumni Network | 5 | I can't say one way or another as I have moved out of state. Before I moved they did assist students with job placement. |

"I am satisfied with my choice of school because they have a great support system to excel in school and after you graduate. Students and professors are all there for you and want you to succeed."

| Would Recommend? | yes | I would hands down recommend this to a potential student wanting to major in accounting. The degree is difficult but it prepares you for the real world and what to expect. |
| Program Reputation | 8 | Penn State has a good reputation for the Accounting major and that is why it is competitive to get into it. You need to have a certain GPA to get into the major. |
| Program Quality | 7 | Penn State has a great accounting program but I found it to be difficult. I had to drop more than 2 accounting courses and retake them to pass. |
| Instruction | 9 | There was a good bit of information I learned in my courses that I have to use in my job everyday. I still use my college notes and books to refer to certain situations. |
| How Difficult | 9 | I found Accounting to be a challenging degree because of the amount of homework assignments assigned and the difficultly of them. There are different types/courses of accounting which made it hard to keep track. |
| Hands-On vs. Bookish | My program was a mix because we had to do a lot of reading to get everything and our homework assignments were more hands on to perform the actual equations. It was the perfect mix to get the overall knowledge of why something is done and then how to to actually do it. | |
| Schedule Flexibility | 10 | Scheduling was extremely flexible because there was a lot of classes to choose from. Classes were offered at many different times. |
| Academic Facilities | 10 | The facilities and resources were extremely good because the school is so big. It provided a lot of areas where one could study. Computer labs in particular were located all over campus so students were able to perform all their work. |
| Social Life | 8 | I had a good social experience and made lots of friends at school. The big social event was going to football games which was real exciting for students because we were offered tickets at a cheaper rate. |
| Placement Services | 10 | Penn State held job fairs for students that were about to graduate. Interviews were even held at the campus so students could secure a job after college. |
| Alumni Network | 10 | The alumni network is great and they help you get a job. Even after graduating years ago I still receive emails on networking opportunities in my local area. |

"The location for my college was great as it was only a few hours from my home. I met great friends and my professors were always there when I had questions. The student/teacher ratio was great."

| Would Recommend? | yes | The campus at West Chester is beautiful. The academics are outstanding and the student life is great. |
| Program Reputation | 8 | My college is well known for its education department and accounting department. They pride themselves on having one of the highest passing CPA rate. |
| Instruction | 8 | |
| Hands-On vs. Bookish | I feel my college had a good mix of book and hands on learning. The class you were taking dictated the method of the learning. | |
| Schedule Flexibility | 9 | The course catalog at my college was very good. There were many choices of days and times during the year and the summer months. There were many students who worked full-time and attended classes at night or the weekends. |
| Academic Facilities | 8 | My college's educational facilities were great. The library always had rooms to have study groups. The computer equipment was always updated and available all over campus in every building (except the dining hall!). |
| Social Life | 7 | I joined a sorority my freshman year. There are so many different clubs to be involved in. You truly do make friends for life in college. |
| Placement Services | 5 | I don't recall my college having a job placement program. They did have many job fairs which I attended and met various recruiters from different industries. |
| Alumni Network | 5 | I am really not involved in my school's alumni network. I do get mailings about it, though. |

"I would have enjoyed it more if it was not online. A physical class setting with hands on learning would have been better for me."
Ratings are on a 1-10 scale
| Characteristic | Rating | Comment |
|---|---|---|
| Would Recommend? | yes | The prices are good for this school. They offer many different courses. |
| Program Reputation | 8 | The school has had several successful bookkeeping majors. The students in this major are usually successful. |
| Program Quality | 6 | I took classes online so it was more difficult to learn the bookkeeping field than if I were in a classroom. I would've enjoyed it more being in a physical classroom. |
| Instruction | 6 | The quality of instruction is poor due to classes being online. Having hands on experience would've bettered my studies. |
| How Difficult | 9 | Learning the terms of bookkeeping was the hardest part to me. After getting comfortable with them, it came with ease. |
| Hands-On vs. Bookish | All of my learning was done in books. I did not have a teacher present for these classes. | |
| Schedule Flexibility | 10 | The schedule was self paced. I could take classes at any time of the day. |
| Academic Facilities | 5 | My school was online. I did not have access to any facilities. I did have an online library, which was helpful. |
| Social Life | 5 | Online classes did not provide any social events. |
| Placement Services | 4 | There are websites to help find jobs. There is no specific job placement program. |
| Alumni Network | I am unfamiliar with my school's alumni network. |
