Would Recommend?yesI believe you get a better education for your money at CBU. Employers like to hear you are from CBU versus the University of Memphis.
Program Reputation8CBU is a private college and is well known in the south. A degree from there is better than one from the University of Memphis.
Program Quality10The classes were small and I got a lot of one-on-one learning. The people really try to help you succeed.
Instruction8I learned a lot in school, but working in the real world was a little different. Accounting is the same, but I don't think I was prepared for how tough managers would be.
How Difficult7It was a little difficult but I graduated with honors. I was in the accelerated program so we had to learn and move fast which made it difficult.
Hands-On vs. BookishThere was a little hands on work, but not as much as I would have liked. We performed a couple of simulations for a business.
Schedule Flexibility7I was able to schedule all of my classes as needed every semester. I had no problems with their availability.
Academic Facilities8All of my resources were great. The library and computer lab had late hours. Teachers gave us their numbers to call if we had problems with something.
Social Life6I guess it was okay. I never participated in anything but there were plenty of announcements around campus.
Placement Services4Their career center was not much help. Their availability was low when I tried to use it. I had better luck applying for jobs online.
Alumni Network6I get emails all the time from the Alumni about different events going on. They also send out a quarterly newsletter showing how certain students have excelled in their careers.
