State Requirements

Cardiovascular technologists and technicians do not require any specific certificates or licenses unless they wish to work as perfusionists in Texas. Professionals who are members of open-heart surgical teams are called perfusionists. They have to obtain licenses from Texas State Board of Examiners of Perfusionists - Texas Department of Health.
