Ratings are on a 1-10 scale
| Characteristic | Rating | Comment |
|---|---|---|
| Would Recommend? | yes | If you want a well rounded and extremely supportive second home, family and friends and a lifetime full of great memories and support, Notre Dame is the place for you. |
| Program Reputation | 9 | Apparently, we have one of the most prestigious programs in the country. Our instructors and directors are all very well known in the subjects of Art History, Design, and Fine Arts. |
| Program Quality | 10 | The Notre Dame Art History program and department were all very supportive and encouraging. They made my five years there complete and fulfilling. |
| Instruction | 10 | I had very outstanding professors. They were always very outgoing and witty in class. Presentations and lectures were exciting and although the topic may have been tiring, they found ways to spruce them up so we would have some interest. I always found myself intellectually and physically engaged in the class. |
| How Difficult | 9 | The coursework and reading for the classes I had to take for my particular major were at times exhausting but do-able. I felt that I was always bombarded with readings and papers and projects. |
| Hands-On vs. Bookish | In larger class as opposed to smaller classes, classes are run by the book. I enjoyed smaller classes of about 20 or fewer because there were more personable interactions and I felt tended to. | |
| Schedule Flexibility | 9 | Schedules for classes are all very standard for most classes in all the colleges. It's easy to figure out time availability months in advance. |
| Academic Facilities | 10 | The campus itself is a place of different environments for different people. There are a number of resources they provide for every major or employee or visitors. |
| Social Life | 6 | I always felt that because I was brought up differently and had different experiences in my life, that I was separated from the majority of students at Notre Dame. Not to say that I was excluded but I felt that my mindset was a little different; more open and accepting to most things Notre Dame students fail to recognize. But my group of friends and teachers were all understanding of that fact. |
| Placement Services | 10 | The University career assistance programs are all very broad and helpful. We have the Career Center, advisors, Dean of Students, our enrolled colleges, alumni networks, and our peers to help us with job finding and career finding tasks. |
| Alumni Network | 10 | Notre Dame has one of the largest alumni networks in the nation. We are all supportive of each others' well-being and success after graduation. Even when I was an undergraduate, I always felt that I could contact the alumni group of my region for help and advice. |
