"They were fine. I received a good, well-rounded education."

Would Recommend?maybeI think those who are interested in the arts could be well served. I am in favor of broad-based education.
Program Reputation5It isn't great, but it isn't bad.
Program Quality7I received a quality education at Boise State. While I find a liberal arts education valuable, it doesn't translate well in the work force.
Instruction5I had some stellar professors. I also had some professors that were not interested in being teachers.
How Difficult5I believe I attended a quality program. However, I would not call it a challenging program.
Hands-On vs. BookishI was studying English Lit, so book learning seems fairly normal. This is not a criticism.
Schedule Flexibility9BSU has great support for students in many phases of life. This aspect of their community is great.
Academic Facilities7The facilities are fine. Lots of new buildings are currently under construction.
Social Life5I had an average experience. However, I was not very involved because I returned to school as a nontraditional student.
Placement Services5I don't have any experience with these services. I suspect they are average.
Alumni Network3For professional contacts, the alumni association is not useful. For sports boosterism, the association is very active.

"Boise is a great city, and to have a central campus located in the downtown was really nice. I was within walking distance of everything."

Would Recommend?maybeThis would depend. I was there for my certificate so my view of the program is biased in that sense. I'm sure if I was an Associate or Bachelor I would be more satisfied.
Program Reputation5There are other schools in the area that specialize more, but I was just looking to show a degree; something worth putting on a resume.
Program Quality5I was very familiar with a lot of the information but I'd much rather have hands-on knowledge than read a book.
Instruction5It was very general, but that's what you get with a certificate program. It was a great way to get to know other industry professionals.
How Difficult3The work was mainly review, and there were weeks I could skim. I wish it was a little bit more challenging.
Hands-On vs. BookishI wish it was more hands-on. I felt like I was stuck reading a book too long. At the end of the day my eyes hurt.
Schedule Flexibility4There were a few times I could get an afternoon class but it was somewhat inflexible.
Academic Facilities8There's lots of equipment and computers at our disposal. The lab time allotted made study a lot easier.
Social Life8The Bronco Nation always tailgates for home games, and there are some great times to be had at the student union building on campus.
Placement Services5I found a job through my own efforts. Maybe this service was intended more for their graduates with Associate's or Bachelor's.
Alumni Network9I never needed to use it, but it was available to me. They had some good resources available to students, and I had a tour of the offices.
