Would Recommend?maybeI would recommend this school for people who live here. I would tell people what to expect and that they should visit other schools prior to accepting this one.
Program Reputation5It's about average compared to other schools. There will always be schools that are more expensive and will have more to offer.
Program Quality6The school did a good job at preparing me for my experiences in the work force. They allowed me to learn a lot about the field.
Instruction5The CS degree is always changing. The industry can't predict what new technologies will be coming out. They prepare you only for somewhat current and older technology.
How Difficult7The work was more time consuming than anything. A lot of reading and researching was involved.
Hands-On vs. BookishIt was book work and some hands-on work. I found myself reading a little more often than hands-on activities.
Schedule Flexibility4I wish more of the classes were web based. The school is somewhat difficult to schedule with a full-time job.
Academic Facilities5They were making improvements. They still had older equipment and equipment that was not working properly.
Social Life5I wasn't involved in many social activities. The school seemed to be somewhat active in the social scene.
Placement Services6They are integrated into the community and have a lot of local connections. They allowed us to talk and get to know potential employers.
Alumni Network5Moderately under-funded school. Computers were broken most of the time.

"I received multiple degrees in little time. What I learned was interesting and relevant, though not to the work I actually do."

Would Recommend?noI would recommend the school to anyone wanting the same degree. I however would not recommend it to others following my career. My career is more practical and less scientific - the school is opposite.
Program Reputation5The school is well known and respected locally. The school is not widely known for Math outside of the area.
Program Quality10The Math instructors were available and willing to help. The class sizes were small and aided in learning
Instruction10Most classes were taught by full professors. Only basic Calculus was taught by TAs but due to the large number of degrees requiring these classes there was diversity.
How Difficult8NM Tech is much more difficult for the small degree than other in-state schools. However, MIT, CalTech, etc. are more difficult than NM Tech.
Hands-On vs. BookishThe school provides many partnerships with organizations to provide hands-on learning. My degree required less of this than was available for other programs.
Schedule Flexibility5Most classes I took were during the day. I attended as a traditional student.
Academic Facilities7The facilities provided were adequate. Everything I needed and more was available.
Social Life5The school is very small and had limited activities, but were enough to keep the limited crowd entertained.
Placement Services1The school provided no assistance that I was aware of. My career came from nothing that the school provided.
Alumni Network3I am not involved in alumni activities. Nothing was provided that interested me in participating.
