Would Recommend?maybeIf they are looking for a cheap way to get a degree and they already have a good understanding of what is there, I would say yes. But due to the little I really learned there, I tend to say no.
Program Reputation5It is one of three schools in the area. Equipment is new but will not be replaced for a long, long time.
Program Quality5WNC was a pretty standard school in that you gave them your money and they gave you a thing with your name on it.
Instruction5Some instructors were pretty good, but some were very, very bad. They were not knowledgeable about their subjects, and this was a common problem.
How Difficult3It was a very easy program and did not do much of the take home work. I was never really punished as I knew what was going on anyways. Some teachers allowed me to work ahead and this helped.
Hands-On vs. BookishHands on is the only way to learn in this industry - you know that and every one else should. If you just read a book about EIGRP or OSPF, you will still have a very weak understanding of how the two routing protocols work until you network some gear.
Schedule Flexibility5I was able to make 40 hours a week of work fit into a 20 credit hour semester. I would consider that a good option.
Academic Facilities7I was always very impressed with the school grounds. I never made use of the tutors or study groups.
Social Life1Most classes were comprised of people that were older than I was. There was very, very little school sprit.
Placement Services5I had a job when I went into the program and I left with one.
Alumni Network5I did not spend much time with the support group in or out of school. I'm not a part of any alumni happenings.
