Would Recommend?maybeA four year degree is not necessary to be a dental assistant. A four year degree, however, will be a great stepping stone to other careers in dentistry.
Program Reputation10DePaul is known for its solid liberal arts and sciences program. Being in a major city, the school attracted many renowned professors form all areas of the world.
Program Quality10There is a wide variety of classes available. Professors are always available.
Instruction10The professors were easily accessible. I was able to choose from a wide variety of subjects in the Spanish language.
How Difficult8The classes I took required a reasonable amount of time spent outside the school environment. I was working full time as a dental assistant while attending school full time, so time was limited.
Hands-On vs. BookishSome classes involved more book work. Most classes were a mix of books and hands on learning.
Schedule Flexibility10The school provided many evening options for me. There were some online courses available as well.
Academic Facilities10Tutors were available at all times. Professors are extremely available.
Social Life10The fact that the school is in Chicago made it easy to organize social events. Athletics were also important.
Placement Services4I do not know how to go about contacting the career services department. I am not aware of there being the opportunity to find work through school.
Alumni Network5It has not been very long since I graduated. Therefore, I have not had an opportunity to fully utilize this network.
