Would Recommend?yesI have already recommended the school to some friends and they have already successfully graduated. I also became volunteer clinical assistant professor.
Program Reputation9They were cutting edge in terms of both oral health research and the delivery of patient care. The school has one of the best and most innovative academic programs, quality patient-centered care and ground-breaking investigations by our nationally acclaimed scientists.
Program Quality8I was very impressed with the excellent credentials of the university's faculty. The program was very comprehensive.
Instruction9The Dental School is a dynamic place where students, faculty and staff come together to share knowledge and skills that will benefit patients in Texas, the U.S. and across the globe. Their curriculum is one of the best in the state and has a very good reputation.
How Difficult8The university program was very challenging and that is what I liked the most - the fact that it was not easy. I feel that their educational programs are for those students that want to be challenged.
Hands-On vs. BookishThe school program included work in clinical settings. Starting with the second semester, we were prepared to work with patients.
Schedule Flexibility8Their educational program includes very accessible online courses. Continuing education programs are also in place.
Academic Facilities9The laboratories have state of the art equipment as do the teaching facilities. We had access to dental journals in the media library and for presentations.
Social Life8I participated in the mentor program, which is one of their best social events. Students and teachers had after school gatherings which I enjoyed very much.
Placement Services9Before graduating they provided me with job interviews. I got a position in a dental office upon graduation.
Alumni Network8They provide job placement services and had a very good supporting mentor program in which I participated. They also have a big brother big sister program.
