Would Recommend?yesAmerican Career College is one of the most reliable schools in my area when it comes to job placement. The school will help you learn the skills you need, prepare a resume, contact employers, and make sure you succeed in landing your dream job all in a matter of a few years. I would recommend ACC to anyone interested in any of the courses they offer.
Program Reputation10Many employers in the dental and medical fields look to American Career College for new recruits. The school is entirely accredited and many successes in the dental field started their career at my college.
Program Quality10American Career college is the best college for earning your certificate that I know of. All of the staff at the American Career College have 3-10 years of experience in the dental field and are able to prepare you with all of the skills that you are going to need.
Instruction10The studying that we did at American Career College was primarily focused towards passing the state exams. Every instructor I had the chance to learn from stayed focused at all times and constantly had the class moving forward.
How Difficult7Familiarizing myself with the tools that dentists use during all types of dental procedures can be difficult, but completely within my grasp. The most challenging aspect of my studies involved labeling different treatments and areas of the teeth or gums.
Hands-On vs. BookishWe would read the books first to learn the anatomy of the human teeth and medications. We would do hands-on activities when making molds and doing patient cleaning. I strongly believe that my school offered a perfect mix of book and hands-on learning for any type of student.
Schedule Flexibility8There are morning, noon, and night courses that are available at the school. I chose to take an afternoon class and was able to do other things early in the day. My school does offer various online courses, but I do not believe that they are available in the dental field.
Academic Facilities10My school had a student library, lab, computer lab, and various other useful resources. We were given permission to enter the lab at any time outside of class and schedule to practice clinical skills on our own time.
Social Life10American Career College throws quite a few events throughout the years. I enjoyed the student appreciation day very much, and there were tons of other fun activities and recreational events that all students were allowed to attend for free.
Placement Services10The job placement staff and the rest of the college team make sure that each graduating students lands a job. They help you edit your resume, contact potential employers, and provide you with everything you will need to know before walking in to your first interview.
Alumni Network10All of the instructors and staff at my school were very resourceful. I was given an opportunity to work in a dental office within 2 month of graduation, and career placement assistance is still available if I ever need it in the future.
