Would Recommend?yesI would absolutely recommend my school to anyone that is looking for a challenging curriculum and a personal education experience. The camaraderie amongst students and faculty is a wonderful bonus.
Program Reputation10The Education Department has a strong reputation for producing scholars that are prepared and qualified to enter the classroom upon graduation. Morgan State University has a highly ranked program.
Program Quality10I am extremely satisfied with my school's education department because I entered my field with the training, knowledge, and resources necessary to be the best in my area of expertise. The success I achieve in my classroom is due to the thorough training I received in my undergraduate classes.
Instruction10I believe each class I was prescribed to take was a necessary class that was tailored to ensure my success in the classroom. The notes I took in class proved to be an excellent tool of reference once I entered a classroom of my own.
How Difficult7The amount of work proved to be a challenge to complete within a certain time frame. The work itself was not too easy or too difficult, rather it was tedious and time consuming. I was challenged not only by time but by content.
Hands-On vs. BookishThere was a good mix between hands-on and book learning. Every situation that allowed for hands on activities and explorations was provided.
Schedule Flexibility5Classes were geared towards morning or evening availability. The afternoons were to be spent in the field which did not leave much room for flexibility.
Academic Facilities10There was an abundance of support and materials. The department was able to keep up with advances in technology and literature. There were qualified tutors and study groups available to students.
Social Life10As a member of the Student Government Association, I was able to see first hand all of the organized events that were available to students. There were plenty of groups that would appeal to all, from the social, the religious, the political, to the educational.
Placement Services10When I graduated, my class had a 99% placement rate. The school provided job fairs and had a relationship with school districts across the state.
Alumni Network10The graduate advisors, professors, and staff were always available to discuss student concerns, both personal and academic. Their schedules were posted and adhered to daily.

Academic Facilities8They had a great electronic library system and a great selection at the library.
Social Life7I met a lot of really great people. There were many opportunities for gatherings and social events.

Would Recommend?yesMcDaniel has a well-established program. Its flexibility and variety of courses were very appealing.
Program Reputation6In my community, the school is recognized as having a solid teacher education program. It's not the most prestigious, hence the lower score.
Program Quality10McDaniel has an excellent teacher education program. It also allowed for off-campus courses, providing flexibility for full-time teachers.
Instruction10Courses were designed to be relevant to classroom situations. I learned many new strategies to use in my classroom.
How Difficult5Given that I was teaching full-time while taking classes for my master's degree, I was familiar with some of the strategies already. The lesson planning aspect was already very familiar to me.
Hands-On vs. BookishEvery course included opportunities to collaborate with peers. We were also developing lessons and strategies that were directly applicable to the classroom.
Schedule Flexibility10I was able to take courses at night and on the weekends. Courses were also off campus and closer to my home.
Academic Facilities5I was off campus, so it was a bit more difficult to use the libraries and such. The professors were very good about maintaining contact and providing support.
Social LifeIt was difficult to participate in the extracurriculars, because I was working full-time and was off campus. I haven't received much information on social opportunities since I graduated.
Placement ServicesI already had a job when I attended McDaniel.
Alumni Network5I receive emails on occasion, but nothing regularly. I live far from campus, so I don't regularly visit.
