"I am extremely satisfied with Rutgers University. I value my education and my degree because I know the effort I put into it has been far greater than many other programs I am aware of."
Ratings are on a 1-10 scale

| Would Recommend? | yes | I constantly recommend Rutgers to my co-workers considering furthering their education. Their School of Social Work provides a program that is tailored specifically for the full time employee and student. Above all, the quality of the program and the professors is amazing and the profound reputation is undeniable. |
| Program Reputation | 10 | Although I am unsure of Rutgers' current ranking for their School of Social Work, I can say that I am certain it is already impressive and only getting better. The university appears to have recognized the School of Social Work for its potential to be nationally renowned. |
| Program Quality | 10 | Rutgers University has one of the best Social Work departments in the country. The professors are truly leaders in their specific fields and have tremendous experience to share. |
| Instruction | 10 | The curriculum of my program is directly designed for my career and can easily be tailored to any specific area of social work. I feel that every course is relevant and the material can easily be utilized in my work. |
| How Difficult | 8 | The work is incredibly challenging and plentiful, however, it is graduate school! The design of the program, to be tailored to a student with a full time job, is impressively creative and manageable. |
| Hands-On vs. Bookish | This program is a perfect mix. A sufficient amount of book work, classroom hours, and field internship hours are all incorporated into the program. | |
| Schedule Flexibility | 10 | This was what brought me to Rutgers. I belong to their intensive weekend program which is extremely flexible and amazingly tailored to full time social workers. |
| Academic Facilities | 10 | Rutgers is a very large university with three separate main college campuses. Everything needed can be found on each individual campus. |
| Social Life | 10 | My program is designed to facilitate individual cohorts through graduate school to obtain master's degrees. My cohort is my family and they will remain my best friends throughout the rest of my life. Despite our separation from the majority of Rutgers students due to the design of our program, we are still actively involved in student organizations and we are constantly invited to become more involved. |
| Placement Services | I would assume that this is also an area of excellence for Rutgers. However, I entered the school already having my current position in my career. I do know that as I finish my degree, an innumerable amount of doors will open for me within the field. | |
| Alumni Network | 10 | I will be graduating this May, so I am not yet part of the Alumni network. However, I do constantly witness involvement by the Alumni in the school. It appears that networking is always active and growing. |

"It was pretty good. Convenient location and no distractions."

| Would Recommend? | maybe | If you can afford going to one of the better schools for psychology, I'd go for it. It seems to pay for itself in the long run. |
| Program Reputation | 7 | They have a good program. It is a community college, though. |
| Program Quality | 10 | I am completely satisfied with the quality of education for my major. The teachers were difficult but I got a lot out of the classes that apply to my job every day. |
| Instruction | 10 | Couldn't be better. Like I said before, I use what I learned everyday. |
| How Difficult | 8 | It was very difficult to complete. Having said that, I know there are far more difficult programs. |
| Hands-On vs. Bookish | It really depended on the professor. Some were hands on while others were more book orientated. | |
| Schedule Flexibility | 1 | They offer a lot of classes. Putting together a smooth flowing schedule is next to impossible at SCCC. I was at SCCC from 9am to 10pm four times a week for only 18 credits. |
| Academic Facilities | 7 | They had a decent library. Unfortunately it was not open as long as it should have been due to the school being too in debt to afford full time librarians. |
| Social Life | 1 | I went to classes, did the work, and went home. Nothing else. |
| Placement Services | 1 | I was never offered any job placement or career services other than a freshmen seminar talk about careers. |
| Alumni Network | 4 | It does not have the same sense of community as a university. It feels like everyone was there to get done quickly and get out and not necessarily stay in touch. |

I enjoyed the layout of the dorm suites where I met many friends who I have continued to stay in touch with since the completion of my program. |
| Placement Services | 10 | Monmouth required numerous field placements throughout their Bachelor's and Master's curriculum. These field placements greatly assist in obtaining experience and resume building to be more marketable in the job force. I found their career services and job placement to be very beneficial in securing my job after graduation. |
| Alumni Network | 5 | Alumni support and network were average. I graduated and have received I information from alumni services via email for general events and fundraisers, but I have not received much information on specific alumni social work programs. |

"I was glad to have finished my degree at Rutgers. It was a good fit for a commuter student like myself."
Ratings are on a 1-10 scale
| Characteristic | Rating | Comment |
|---|---|---|
| Would Recommend? | yes | I believe that Rutgers offers a lot of choices for majors and is convenient for commuting students. I also believe it is easily located and has a wide range of liberal arts courses to take. |
| Program Reputation | I am not currently in the fine arts field and am not aware of their reputation at this time. Being so close to Philadelphia, where there are many intensive art schools, I would believe that Rutgers would not be at the top of the ratings. | |
| Program Quality | 5 | I did not major in social work in college. However, I always worked in the field. I obtained my recent position based on my experience; plus, I have a liberal arts degree. |
| Instruction | 5 | I did not major in social work in college. My curriculum instruction was average in my major. |
| How Difficult | 6 | Workload was average amongst all of my courses. I believe that the academic challenge in my degree department could have been stronger with more challenging assignments. |
| Hands-On vs. Bookish | Instruction was definitely an even mix of both. I was very satisfied with the amount of different options available for learning. | |
| Schedule Flexibility | 8 | It was convenient most of the time to schedule classes, except for most studio art courses. There was not much variety in classes being scheduled during the day. |
| Academic Facilities | 6 | The studio areas were average. The faculty was small and most often available, but tutors were not offered. |
| Social Life | I was not involved in social activities, because I was a commuter student who was also working. | |
| Placement Services | I did not use the school to help me find a job. I was able to locate employment on my own. | |
| Alumni Network | 8 | I receive regular emails from the alumni association. There are many activities and benefits offered constantly. |
