Would Recommend?maybeWith this career choice, BCC prepares you to further your education at another school. I would not enter this program without already having an idea about the basics of fashion design.
Program Reputation4The fashion program is not well known around BCC. It also does not receive much support from the school as other programs do.
Program Quality5This is a very small program and not many people are aware of it. It is still very new and is working out the kinks.
Instruction4Often times it felt as if the teachers were still learning with you. Sometimes it was easier to just read and learn from the assigned books.
How Difficult4On average there was very little work load, other than projects here and there and occasional homework. The only time it became overwhelming was at the end of a semester when all the large projects were due at once.
Hands-On vs. BookishTeachers used a variety of tools to teach, such and videos and books. Most of the learning, though, was done through hands on activities. Doing rather than seeing.
Schedule Flexibility2Often times there would be certain subjects with only one class a semester. So you could either take it, or not. There was really no way to work in a personal schedule - everything needed to be arranged to put the program first.
Academic Facilities6The classrooms and labs were always open and teachers were always accessible. Equipment, however, was outdated, and often times lacking.
Social Life5I never had time to socialize within the school. The school does always have things going on at each campus and everyone always seemed excited to participate.
Placement Services3This school prepares you to continue your education at another school. There is really no form of career service within this program.
Alumni Network6BCC does a decent job at promoting togetherness among alumni. After graduation everyone receives a nice package of benefits due to being a BCC alumni and graduate.
