"I got a decent education, but it was not worth the money and it's been the biggest hassle of my life. Too much lying and hiding the accreditation issues."

Would Recommend?noI had a bad experience at AI. The education you get for the money is worth it, but when you include all the complications it's just not worth it.
Program Reputation2Even though there is a great demand in the area for the "next big thing" students who graduate from CSN or UNLV are preferred over AI. The reputation is terrible and follows me everywhere.
Program Quality3The Art Institute is a rip off. No job assistance and they flat out lied about tuition, accreditation, and financial aide.
Instruction7All of my teachers were very flexible, helpful, and constructive. I really learned a lot even though the school itself was awful.
How Difficult3It was almost too easy for me. The school was more about pushing people through to get their next dollar. My teachers could be challenging at times.
Hands-On vs. BookishPretty hands on. Mostly drawing and creating final products, but the general education classes were more book learning. I took mostly design classes so we were working with technology and items to create final products.
Schedule Flexibility8I like that you can take all your classes in two days, or throughout the week. The longer class times make it possible to build your school schedule around your work schedule most of the time.
Academic Facilities9Because they have a deal with Apple, AI has the best computer labs, print labs, and tech labs. I can't complain about that.
Social Life5There are all kinds of people who go there. I met my best friend there and that was great, but the drop-out rate is very high and you never know who's going to be in the classes or on campus.
Placement Services3They drag you in with the promise of lifetime assistance if you graduate, but in reality it's only for three months, and only in-state.
Alumni Network3Not good. Most people who graduate from the school do not hang around long and the teachers are constantly rotating. Not a lot of support and no one cares to change it.
