Would Recommend?noGO TO A UNIVERSITY, NOT A NON PROFIT SCHOOL .... THEY WILL HURT YOU FINANCIALLY.
Program Reputation4The school is closed now due to the recent hurricane. There is one location in Baton Rouge but I do not hear any good things about it.
Program Quality3The instructors gave me false insight as to how my career would be.
Instruction7One good thing was we had our own computer to work on, so everything was hands on training.
How Difficult5It wasn't that hard, you just had to be on top of your book reading and program exercises.
Hands-On vs. BookishI'd rather hands on than book learning, because books to me are really boring.
Schedule Flexibility1They had night and evening courses, which really helps each person out with there personal lives.
Academic Facilities2The library was cool, it had wide windows for you to see outside and the break area was really bright.
Social Life3Everyone was friendly. It was a multicultural experience.
Placement Services5They get you a job. But working for a private sector company would get you absolutely no where.
Alumni Network5I have only kept up with one alum and he lives in Las vegas. Everyone else is either not in the field or did not finish school.

Would Recommend?yesI would recommend my school to others. The teachers were great and the facilities were nice.
Program Reputation7As far as I know, this school has a pretty good reputation for graphic design. Over the two college choices I had, I preferred this school over the other one, so naturally I chose to go there.
Program Quality8My school taught me the basics for graphic design. I think going to a 4 year school would have taught me more, but I learned a lot on my own. Bossier Parish Community College had great teachers who were very helpful and worked with me to achieve my goal.
Instruction7My school had a great curriculum for graphic design. They helped us prepare for getting a job after graduation as much as they could. I learned a lot from them!
How Difficult5The rate of difficulty was about average. Some days the projects we were assigned challenged me, but on others it wasn't hard at all. The work load was minimal. All work was done in class, so we didn't have any homework.
Hands-On vs. BookishIn this field, most of the learning was hands-on. We spent a lot of time on the computers. We did, however, have to buy books which helped a lot.
Schedule Flexibility10My school offered classes on the weekends (Saturday), summer, and evenings. I took 2 evening classes myself, but the rest were during the day. I also took a few online classes which I really enjoyed.
Academic Facilities9We had a very nice 2 story library. The computer lab was in the library on the second floor, which I used a few times. Classroom space was ok for some classes and not so good for others. Classes were usually small though, so it was fine. Academic advisors were very helpful. I didn't use the tutor service so I can't comment on that. Professors had specific office hours for support, which was great.
Social LifeMost of my friends didn't go to school here so I didn't have much of a social experience. I just went for classes and that is about it. There was a good amount of school spirit when we had game days.
Placement ServicesI work freelance, so I didn't use my school's job placement services. I have heard they are very helpful after graduation.
Alumni NetworkI am not associated with the alumni, so I can't comment on this. I have, however, gotten a couple of emails from them.
