"I loved attending that school. I never realized just how much I'd learn to help prepare me for the future in a design and art career. There were so many tips and projects that just taught me so much that even today in my own business I'm still applying those skills."

| Would Recommend? | yes | This school not only will help you grow as a designer, but also as a person. The creative industry is full of people from all walks of life, so there are so many opportunities to learn other skills that you may think at first don't have anything to do with your major, but you find that you will use what you learned for some project eventually. The skills are so relevant and necessary to your major and there are instructors there who went through the same instruction you are, so you can always talk to them outside of class for further insight, even about stuff that is not school-related. |
| Program Reputation | 9 | The program was definably hands-on and engaging. I cannot even describe the wealth of knowledge I obtained from there. I learned over 7 programs, was able to read at least 2 scripting languages, and I even became a tutor for the school because I really excelled at my general education classes. |
| Program Quality | 10 | I loved AiLV, it provided just the environment I needed to learn more technical skills and also to improve my already ingrain artistic talents. It was a fabulous experience and I met so many creative individuals that I'll never forget. |
| Instruction | 10 | I had an amazing array of teachers. Some were better than others, but the skills I walked away with were invaluable since I didn't even know any industry standard programs (such as the Adobe suites) before college. |
| How Difficult | 8 | Like I previously stated, I didn't know any of the programs before attending, so I had to not only focus on those skills, but also make fine art, and brush up on general education knowledge because I had those classes too. |
| Hands-On vs. Bookish | I previously mentioned that the learning was very hands-on in my main design classes. We did use books, but we were really not all that reliant on them like we were in our general education classes. | |
| Schedule Flexibility | 8 | For most of my time there, at least until my final year, I was able to keep class times that worked well for my schedule. The last year was where that changed because the advanced classes were only held at certain times on certain days, so there was no room for flexibility at that time. |
| Academic Facilities | 7 | There was a wealth of facilities that were great. The resource learning center (aka library) was well equipped with relevant and mostly up-to-date books covering nearly every class they offered. We had plenty of labs and computers and a working printing bureau (although not of the greatest quality). We used to have in-person tutoring because I worked as one for the school district, but sadly that succumbed to the school paying a lot of online tutoring out of state which was absolutely ridiculous and not the least bit helpful from my own experience using it in one of my classes. |
| Social Life | 9 | I was surrounded by such talented individuals and great people. We also had several opportunities to just hang out and go to social gatherings at various printers and other design facilities. It was a lot of fun to mingle and work alongside those outside of my major too. I learned a lot from some of those multi-talented individuals. We started to feel like a family the closer we got to the end because almost everyone knew each other from the beginning. |
| Placement Services | 2 | When I first attended school they claimed to have 100% job placement. Well, the economy had crashed in my second year there so by the time I graduated that 100% job placement did nothing but create false hope. This would have to be the biggest flaw of the school. They just picked random places and told you to try to interview there, there was no "placement" at all on their part. |
| Alumni Network | 5 | I never really experienced much from the alumni network while I was attending and most of my classmates have either moved away or don't have anything further to do with school since they graduated. It's very lacking, and that's a shame since it is a great school. |

"The school was very uninformative and almost everything I learned was self-taught. I feel that I massively overpaid for an electrical education I did not receive."

| Would Recommend? | no | There are so many other great schools in the area that provide better education at a much lower price. I would recommend these schools as I would have attended them if I had known of them. |
| Program Reputation | 1 | There are so many schools now that offer this program. If I had known about the other I had at my disposal, I would have chosen a different one in my area. |
| Program Quality | 1 | The school promised us many things and did not deliver. The teachers were neither professional nor experienced. The cost was way too high and left me penniless. |
| Instruction | 1 | The teachers didn't seem to know the subject matter very well. We never had the same teachers twice, and almost never saw the teachers again after one semester. |
| How Difficult | 1 | The material was very straight forward and wasn't hard to learn. The teachers didn't provide much of a challenge for us. |
| Hands-On vs. Bookish | The school work consisted of reading the technical books and working on the computer. After the first half of my education, we were mostly hands-on using the computer to create and show off our work. | |
| Schedule Flexibility | 10 | There were several times you were able to attend class. It fit around everyone's schedule this way and many people were able to get an education. |
| Academic Facilities | 5 | I was disappointed by the school's library, as there were no current periodicals or many books pertaining to my classes. There were always plenty of computers offering high-speed internet. |
| Social Life | 5 | There were not any social events to attend in order to meet people. However, many students bonded and became friends, even dated, as a result of working together so long. |
| Placement Services | 1 | The job placement and/or career services was also non existent. They school said they would help us and place us in jobs, but once graduation rolled around we were told there were no jobs in our field in our area and they were not obligated to get us jobs. |
| Alumni Network | 1 | The alumni network is non existent. There was never anyone to help students in order to give advice or to get through classes. |
