Would Recommend?noI think you can read my previous statements to understand why. College is a joke for graphic designers. You're better off figuring it all out on your own.
Program Reputation10The journalism department at WVU is very highly esteemed. It's not entirely their fault the market is so saturated.
Program Quality5WVU gave me no formal training on how to find a job. They also didn't explain that it was a rough slope making a career out of graphic design.
Instruction5The teachers were alright. I wasn't blown away by them or anything, though.
How Difficult8I'd say it was pretty hard work. But compared to how much work I'd be doing in real life, it didn't compare.
Hands-On vs. BookishThere was definitely a mix. I did a bit of both.
Schedule Flexibility1It was very hard to schedule classes. In fact, my capstone was dropped entirely my final semester and I had to take a similar class instead.
Academic Facilities10There were a lot of great services to students. WVU was great in that respect.
Social Life10I loved working at the college radio station and newspaper. I made a lot of great friends.
Placement Services1I'm freelancing, remember. Therefore, they haven't done anything to get me a job.
Alumni Network1They haven't supported me at all. So, I'd say alumni support is nonexistent.
