"I feel like they could have done better as far as preparing me for what was out in the world."

| Would Recommend? | no | The instructors who I know and loved are no longer there. I am honestly not even sure if the school is still in operation. |
| Program Reputation | 5 | I don't hear too much about them now. Shortly after I graduated all of the instructors I had moved to another school. |
| Program Quality | 5 | Most of what I learned came from after I graduated. When I got to my first job there were tons of things I was afraid to do that I hadn't been prepared for at school. |
| Instruction | 10 | My instructors were great, but I didn't learn all that I could have because of the customers. They were very specific on who they would allow to do their hair. |
| How Difficult | 3 | It was pretty easy considering that I walked out with only what I knew already. When I started I had already studied an old cosmetology book, to see what I was getting into. |
| Hands-On vs. Bookish | After the first few weeks most of our studies were on actual customers. There's very little book work after you're familiar with the basics. | |
| Schedule Flexibility | 8 | It was pretty flexible. I was able to choose night or evening classes. In extreme situations I was able to split the day. |
| Academic Facilities | 5 | We didn't have much in terms of facilities. Any extra help, or study groups had to be formed on our own. |
| Social Life | 10 | I met a lot of really nice people, some of whom I am still in touch with. |
| Placement Services | 1 | It is up to you to find a job, there's very little assistance provided. |
| Alumni Network | 1 | I don't think this is something that exists with this type of school. We don't have any functions once we receive our licensing. |

| How Difficult | 7 | It was easy to handle and I really am happy with the world now and my new career as a hairdresser. |
| Hands-On vs. Bookish | It was a good mix of hands on and book learning. I really liked it a lot. | |
| Schedule Flexibility | 8 | It had great flexibility with my schedule. I was able to attend every class. |

| Would Recommend? | maybe | The reason why I said maybe is because there are a lot of other beauty schools that offer different options. But overall, yes, I would recommend PJ's because I enjoyed it so much. |
| Program Reputation | 6 | The school had an ok reputation for the program, but it really depended on how YOU felt, and I felt that the school had a good reputation. |
| Program Quality | 10 | All instructors were right on point and they are the reason for the knowledge I have. The students were also helpful in helping me learn new techniques and different hair tricks. |
| Instruction | 10 | My main instructor really knew her stuff. She's been in the business for over 15 years and I could tell. |
| How Difficult | 6 | I'm going to rate it a little bit above average. The book work was a little difficult. The hair part was the easiest because I came into the program already doing hair for a living. |
| Hands-On vs. Bookish | PJ's offered a mix. We did our book work in the morning and toward the afternoon we worked on clients and our mannequin heads. | |
| Schedule Flexibility | 5 | It was average because Saturdays were required, although we did close earlier on Saturdays. This school was open through entire summer. |
| Academic Facilities | 10 | PJ's had every resource we needed to complete book work and pass our state finals. Classroom space was great. |
| Social Life | 5 | PJ's was not a school for school sprit, but we did have lots of parties. The parties were birthday parties, of course, and involved all of us pitching in for food, which was fun. |
| Placement Services | 10 | The school's job placement help was great. It helped a lot of us students out who could not find jobs as quickly as others. |
| Alumni Network | 10 | All the students that were there had good jobs after attending the school. |

| Would Recommend? | yes | They allowed you to make payments on your tuition. You got a degree quickly so you could start making money sooner than a four year degree. |
| Program Reputation | 8 | The school has a good reputation for customer satisfaction. The school also has a good reputation for its graduates being knowledgeable in their field. |
| Program Quality | 8 | They taught exactly what needed to be taught. They gave you the skills for a great career. |
| Instruction | 8 | You were given clear and precise information. The teachers were very knowledgeable in the field. |
| How Difficult | 6 | The classroom work was a lot of information to memorize. The hands on work was fun, but a lot harder to understand. |
| Hands-On vs. Bookish | The majority of the work was waiting on clients. There was only about 2 hours of classroom study a day. | |
| Schedule Flexibility | 1 | They only have classes during the day and on Saturday mornings. They have no evening classes. |
| Academic Facilities | 7 | They always had all of the supplies needed to complete your work. They provided you with the products you needed to complete your work. |
| Social Life | 8 | The teachers were always friendly. The other students were very similar to me. Most students were a little younger, but we all still got along. |
| Placement Services | 1 | There are no job placement services. After you graduate, you get no support. |
| Alumni Network | 1 | There is no alumni support. When you are finished, there are no services available to you. |
