"I have very good memories from my time there. And still appreciate my instructors to this day. It's a great teaching environment."

Would Recommend?yesI have been in my own salon for a while now, and when asked I always recommend this school to people. It offered great teaching and an affordable program.
Program Reputation8From what I hear, most graduates in the area are very happy with it. I know my clients are happy!
Program Quality7For the most part the school was great. I do wish we would have gone a little deeper into some of the more outrageous trends.
Instruction10Great hands-on attention. I have kept in touch with my instructors since finishing. They are always available to help and answer questions.
How Difficult6I thought it was pretty easy. I wish a couple of things would have been added to provide a bit more challenge.
Hands-On vs. BookishIt was the hands-on aspect that I loved most about the teaching in this program.
Schedule Flexibility8I had a fairly open schedule while taking classes, so for me it was easy to get in and out. But they did seem to offer some great options in scheduling.
Academic Facilities9Everything is kept and maintained very nicely. Lots of great resources and materials were available to students.
Social Life8My social experience at the school was pretty great. Given that it was a school for cosmetology there wasn't much in terms of football games or pep rallies, though there were some good mixers.
Placement Services5Really not sure as I opened my own salon right off the bat. I had a few friends who were given assistance and help finding jobs.
Alumni Network5I keep in touch with the instructors myself. There's not a lot of outreach from the school itself.

Would Recommend?yesI think future hairdressers need a laid back environment. The education is great at my school. Art and technique cannot be pushed and has to be developed. That's why I said it needs to be laid back.
Program Reputation7As far as I know they have a good reputation. I believe I was reading that 87% of the students are still working as cosmetologist.
Program Quality10My school was very laid back, but still got the job done. I still remember technical things from school. So I guess they did their job correctly.
Instruction10My school gave the basics to get started. I got great practical work in, just like at the salon. The school was very relevant to my working in the industry.
How Difficult5I would say average because of the technical study, like technical names for diseases we had to learn. But the rest of the course is trial and error - learning thru experience.
Hands-On vs. BookishThe biggest part of the education is hands on learning. Trial and error is the only way to learn to do hair, in my opinion.
Academic Facilities10I had the support of several teachers. If one was not available, another was just around the corner to help. They had everything there a cosmetologist student could need.
Social Life10We were all like a family. We would have special dress up days to make it fun.
Placement Services1I don't remember my school helping with job placement. I did all the job searching on my own.
Alumni Network1I noticed that our school finally got a facebook page and finally has a website. I have had no contact with the school since graduating. They don't have an alumni network.
