"The program gave me exactly what I wanted. I would recommend this to others."
Ratings are on a 1-10 scale
| Characteristic | Rating | Comment |
|---|---|---|
| Would Recommend? | yes | I had a good experience and I would let others know about this program. |
| Program Reputation | 8 | I believe they have a high pass rate. The ladies who gave the test were very friendly. |
| Program Quality | 9 | The trainers were very knowledgeable and the program was not too expensive. |
| Instruction | 9 | We did 80 hours of training in a hospital setting. The instructors gave great advice. |
| How Difficult | 5 | Most of what I learned I would consider common sense information. It only took two weeks to complete. |
| Hands-On vs. Bookish | This program had two parts: there was classroom work and then there was clinical time. | |
| Schedule Flexibility | 8 | They offer many classes and many different programs all year. |
| Academic Facilities | 7 | There are five campuses, all of which have libraries. |
| Social Life | 4 | I don't think we had much of this given that it is a community college. |
| Placement Services | 5 | I'm not very sure of this because I did not use this program. I think they do have career counselors, though. |
| Alumni Network | 5 | This is a community college. I was not there long as the program was only 80 hours long. |

Studying EMT (completion in 2008)

"I'm proud to say I graduated here. I know other EMTs who graduated from the other program in town who aren't doing as well as I am currently."
Ratings are on a 1-10 scale
| Characteristic | Rating | Comment |
|---|---|---|
| Would Recommend? | yes | I believe it is an excellent school. I received a quality education. |
| Program Reputation | 6 | It’s one of two programs available in my town. It's gotten a better rating from students than the alternative. |
| Program Quality | 8 | I didn't get much help in finding a job. However, I feel like I received a quality education. |
| Instruction | 7 | I learned quite a lot. Instructors were excellent. |
| How Difficult | 7 | The program wasn't extremely easy. We had a lot of hands-on tests. |
| Hands-On vs. Bookish | We used both quite a lot. However, the hands on portion of classes were much more informative than the book portions. | |
| Schedule Flexibility | 3 | School was very tightly scheduled on the same day and time every week; no makeup tests. However, if you were a few minutes late or needed to leave early they would work with you. |
| Academic Facilities | 4 | It's located on an ambulance base so there are not a lot of libraries. However, nice classroom with excellent charts, figures, etc. |
| Social Life | 5 | I made quite a few friends in class who I still keep in touch with. We spent a lot of time together outside of class. |
| Placement Services | 5 | The school is associated with the ambulance service. However, it can be hard to get a job there due to limited availability. |
| Alumni Network | 5 | I've met many graduates of the program before me. Many are employed on the ambulance, which is what I intend to use my license for eventually. |
