Would Recommend?yesI had a good experience and I would let others know about this program.
Program Reputation8I believe they have a high pass rate. The ladies who gave the test were very friendly.
Program Quality9The trainers were very knowledgeable and the program was not too expensive.
Instruction9We did 80 hours of training in a hospital setting. The instructors gave great advice.
How Difficult5Most of what I learned I would consider common sense information. It only took two weeks to complete.
Hands-On vs. BookishThis program had two parts: there was classroom work and then there was clinical time.
Schedule Flexibility8They offer many classes and many different programs all year.
Academic Facilities7There are five campuses, all of which have libraries.
Social Life4I don't think we had much of this given that it is a community college.
Placement Services5I'm not very sure of this because I did not use this program. I think they do have career counselors, though.
Alumni Network5This is a community college. I was not there long as the program was only 80 hours long.

Studying EMT (completion in 2008)

"I'm proud to say I graduated here. I know other EMTs who graduated from the other program in town who aren't doing as well as I am currently."

Would Recommend?yesI believe it is an excellent school. I received a quality education.
Program Reputation6It’s one of two programs available in my town. It's gotten a better rating from students than the alternative.
Program Quality8I didn't get much help in finding a job. However, I feel like I received a quality education.
Instruction7I learned quite a lot. Instructors were excellent.
How Difficult7The program wasn't extremely easy. We had a lot of hands-on tests.
Hands-On vs. BookishWe used both quite a lot. However, the hands on portion of classes were much more informative than the book portions.
Schedule Flexibility3School was very tightly scheduled on the same day and time every week; no makeup tests. However, if you were a few minutes late or needed to leave early they would work with you.
Academic Facilities4It's located on an ambulance base so there are not a lot of libraries. However, nice classroom with excellent charts, figures, etc.
Social Life5I made quite a few friends in class who I still keep in touch with. We spent a lot of time together outside of class.
Placement Services5The school is associated with the ambulance service. However, it can be hard to get a job there due to limited availability.
Alumni Network5I've met many graduates of the program before me. Many are employed on the ambulance, which is what I intend to use my license for eventually.
