Ratings are on a 1-10 scale

CharacteristicRatingComment
Would Recommend?noNo, because I didn't get a job in the field I wanted. They should go to a school in a larger city.
Program Reputation4It really isn't well known at all, other than locally in Fargo. I have talked to people who live in Minnesota across the border, and they have never heard of the major before.
Program Quality6The school was fine for my degree. It was mostly my fault that I got stuck with my job.
Instruction5I learned a lot about the value of serving society. Some of the teachers were kind of delusional about the job prospects.
How Difficult3It wasn't hard to get an "A" in most classes. The amount of homework was very manageable.
Hands-On vs. BookishWe learned most of our material from books. We didn't really go out in the city and work with people often.
Schedule Flexibility8Classes were easy to get to and flexibility was fine. There were options on weekends and some evenings. There were also some online classes.
Academic Facilities6The facilities were just fine; we didn't require much.
Social LifeI should have gotten out more and met people. I stayed in my room a lot and was isolated most of college.
Placement Services3I wasn't able to get a job in social work, because the service was so poor. I am now a caregiver and I dislike my job.
Alumni Network2It isn't good at all and no one talks to each other. Everyone is worried about themselves after they graduate.
