South Hampton Institute Of Tech • Hampton, CT

"South Hampton Tech left a bitter taste in my mouth. Combining the lack of organization, knowledge learned, and staff, I don't plan on coming back to South Hampton Tech."

Would Recommend?noI would not at all. The campus is terrible and the staff is not knowledgeable. To a student fresh from high school, I recommend going elsewhere for a degree.
Program Reputation4As I said before the staff was poor and unprepared. The course didn't provide too much rigor.
Program Quality7South Hampton is an okay school that doesn't provide any benefits. On the bright side, the classes were small and I graduated with a bachelor's in 1 year.
Instruction4Unfortunately the instructors weren't the best. Most of my knowledge came from my employer's training program.
How Difficult5The course had little substance to it, and not too many hurdles. Like I said, I graduated in just 1 year.
Hands-On vs. BookishAlmost all of our education was through lectures and real hands-on work. During most of the class period we would be repairing a real A/C unit and system.
Schedule Flexibility4All the courses would have no flexibility. Students did not have a choice of day / night classes.
Academic Facilities6The campus itself was lacking material and equipment, and had a small library. However, our class would take 'field trips' to practice on real A/C units.
Social Life4I particularly didn't like anything about the atmosphere or school spirit. The undergrads would have a graduation party at the end of the semesters.
Placement Services7It had little organization, but plenty of contacts. Right after graduation I got an entry-level job with a HVAC repair company.
Alumni Network3The instructors had poor education and no motivation. The administration did their best to keep tabs on the staff.
