Program Reputation1No one knows that this school even offers this course of study. I have had potential employers try to verify my credentials and were unable to.
Program Quality3It was a very basic and simple program that I completed online. The program is through another school so I had no support system.
Instruction3I was already well versed before I started, so comprehension was not a problem for me. It was still very difficult to find work after school.
How Difficult3I was well versed before I started, and as such I think it came easier to me than to others. The workload was short and concise, which was pleasant.
Hands-On vs. BookishMy classes were all online so it was all book learning. There was no lab or even a way to practice brazing or refrigerant testing.
Schedule Flexibility10The classes were all online and there was no attendance policy to speak of. This made it very flexible to anything I wanted to do in the meantime.
Academic Facilities2This school is in a rural region of South Carolina and is lacking in funding, in my opinion. It was easy to talk with staff, though, as they were very available.
Social Life1I did not participate in any activities while I was there. As far as I know there are no athletics.
Placement Services1My school did not participate in these kinds of services for this course of study. I still had a hard time finding work after I received my certificate.
Alumni Network5My program was through another school that I have never saw or attended, so I would not know. OC Tech staff and alumni were very helpful and supportive, though.
