Studying Business Administration With A Concentration In Marketing (completion in 2011)

"I loved the experience. I do not believe it was worth the student loans with the current unemployment rate, but that is not my schools fault. Go Rams."
Ratings are on a 1-10 scale
| Characteristic | Rating | Comment |
|---|---|---|
| Would Recommend? | yes | If you are into marketing, CSU is great for it. I learned a great amount in a short time and I had fun along the way. |
| Program Reputation | 8 | It is no ivy league school, but if I remember correctly, it is pretty high in the ratings. Definitely better than Boulder. |
| Program Quality | 9 | My education provided me with the ability to compete in my job. The instructors were very helpful. |
| Instruction | 7 | The instruction did not give very much help in finding a job. I should have learned more about market plan preparation. |
| How Difficult | 9 | The workload was intense and rewarding. I did not have very much free time, but I left college ready to take on the world. |
| Hands-On vs. Bookish | Some professors I had would only give readings and others would not even have a text book. It was a teacher by teacher decision. | |
| Schedule Flexibility | 5 | I was able to take summer classes to stay on course with my graduation plan. Night classes were not offered. |
| Academic Facilities | 10 | We had all of the best tools to complete work. The printers didn't always work, but it didn't matter. |
| Social Life | 10 | School spirit was high, the parties were perfect, and the organized social events were always top notch. |
| Placement Services | 5 | They could have given me more help in this field. I had a difficult time finding a career. |
| Alumni Network | 9 | I was given an Alumni email address and a notepad. They have not asked me for money yet, which is nice. Student Loans will rob me over the next few years. |

Studying Business With An Emphasis In Marketing (completion in 2004)

"Overall, I enjoyed attending my school. Both socially and educationally, it was a great 4-year experience."
Ratings are on a 1-10 scale

| Would Recommend? | yes | CU is an amazing school to attend, for many reasons. One, the campus is beautiful and the outdoor activities are second to none. Two, the new business school is fully equipped. And three, the professors are knowledgeable and provide great hands-on experience. |
| Program Reputation | I'm not really sure. | |
| Program Quality | 8 | The Leeds School of Business (at CU) was a top-rated school when I was there. The professors did a good job of covering a broad range of marketing subjects and giving us opportunities to work on real-world problems for businesses. |
| Instruction | 8 | Most, but not all, of my professors were awesome. They seemed well prepared, brought in quality guest speakers, and spent extra time with us outside of normal classes. |
| How Difficult | 6 | I thought the workload was just right. |
| Hands-On vs. Bookish | We definitely had a mix. We were able to study from our marketing books, but we were also able to work on business problems for local companies. | |
| Schedule Flexibility | I didn't take advantage of a flexible schedule, so I'm not really sure how flexible it is. | |
| Academic Facilities | 8 | Resources are even better than when I was there. They rebuilt the business school and have new tools for students. While I was there, I felt like the libraries, computer resources, etc., were adequate. |
| Social Life | 8 | I was involved with a number of student groups, so organized social events were frequent. School spirit was high at the time, because our football team was good. |
| Placement Services | 8 | I thought the career services group was really helpful. Plus, since our professors brought businesspeople into our classes, we had the opportunity to network with local business leaders. I got an internship my senior year, which then turned into a full-time job for 4 years. |
| Alumni Network | 7 | I'm not super involved in the alumni association, but the staff seems to be interested in using alumni to help current students. I have spoken at a few classes at CU since graduating. |
