"I loved it and would choose it again. If it had a Big Ten athletic feel to it, I would consider it the perfect school."
Ratings are on a 1-10 scale
| Characteristic | Rating | Comment |
|---|---|---|
| Would Recommend? | yes | I would absolutely recommend! I have a sister in law and a cousin going there and I hope that one day my children will consider going there. |
| Program Reputation | 6 | They are not known for this major necessarily, but overall have a good business school. I know there are some spots on TV around here where it shows our progression as an institution though. |
| Program Quality | 5 | I didn't pick the school because of their recognition in this field. They provided me with a good education and experience overall though. |
| Instruction | 8 | They were all knowledgeable in their classrooms. Sometimes I wondered though if everything was up to date as far as what up-and-coming companies were bringing to market. |
| How Difficult | 5 | Learning came pretty easily to me. I remember a stressful senior year/project that I definitely learned a lot from. |
| Hands-On vs. Bookish | I remember it being a good mix. I know they tried to incorporate technology into lessons as much as possible. | |
| Schedule Flexibility | 8 | I took a decent number of night classes and always remember being able to take a day or two off a week. I never had any problems with scheduling to be to able to graduate in four years without any summer school. |
| Academic Facilities | 8 | Everything that you needed was a walk away on campus. Also, I know they have done a lot of work on campus in the five years since I've graduated. |
| Social Life | 7 | I do wish there was more in the athletic area to get excited about. College was just as much about the great experiences I had outside of class as it was about getting a degree. |
| Placement Services | 5 | I guess I don't know what other schools do, but I don't feel as if BSU did much to help me in this area. I moved halfway across the country to get a job at first. |
| Alumni Network | 9 | I rated it so high because alumni tend to stick together and try to help each other out after graduation. There is a fairly strong contingency where I currently live and work. |

"Very satisfied. Lots of fun, and I felt like I got a great education out of it."

| Would Recommend? | maybe | It is a great school if you want to do consumer product marketing at a traditional CPG company. Location is not great for people who want to live in or near the city. |
| Program Reputation | 7 | IU is fairly well known for its marketing expertise. However, being a regional school, we don't get as much exposure to larger job markets. |
| Program Quality | 9 | IU has a very good marketing program and exposed me to many marketing professionals. Marketing instruction is also top tier. |
| Instruction | 9 | Professors were experienced in their field and worked in it regularly. Professors focused on many of the problems I have since dealt with in my career. |
| How Difficult | 8 | Work was challenging, especially for an introverted person like myself. Lots of group work, but overall, a great experience. |
| Hands-On vs. Bookish | I thought it was a good mix of lecture and case, as well as practical outside experience. Lots of opportunities to work with local businesses. | |
| Schedule Flexibility | 5 | It was a regular, full-time MBA program; mostly weekday courses for full-time students. They do have online and executive MBA programs. |
| Academic Facilities | 9 | Facilities were excellent; most services were readily available and in excellent condition. Food could have been closer. |
| Social Life | 10 | Lots of events for singles and families. Almost too much going on at one time. |
| Placement Services | 7 | Career Services was very enthusiastic and worked hard to get us placed. They did, however, adhere pretty strictly to traditional and well-defined career paths and were less interested in helping with alternative ones. |
| Alumni Network | 8 | We were exposed to a lot of great alumni. However, at times, it was hard to get a hold of many of them to ask questions, etc. |
