"It was almost exactly as I expected and certainly provided me with the education that I was looking for."
Ratings are on a 1-10 scale
| Characteristic | Rating | Comment |
|---|---|---|
| Would Recommend? | maybe | It is a school that is not for the high-achievers. It definitely has it perks and is very cheap, but it also a very good school for the cost. |
| Program Reputation | 5 | It seems that more and more people are drawn to the business program because of its cost and its ability to cater to the community college students. |
| Program Quality | 7 | NHTI is a community college but they really have great business programs, including the business administration and macroeconomics programs. |
| Instruction | 5 | It was very good for a community college, however I'm sure compared to a larger university it could have been a lot better and the curriculums are amped up a bit. |
| How Difficult | 4 | As a marketing and business major, I expected the classes to be focused on creating faux campaigns and internships, and I quickly realized that it was much more simple and catered to the mediocre. |
| Hands-On vs. Bookish | It was almost all textbook learning, there was really no hands-on work except for a few projects in sociology and macroeconomics. | |
| Schedule Flexibility | 7 | The professors were more than willing to give me extensions on projects, papers, and take home tests. And when I was absent they were more than willing to work with me to make up work. |
| Academic Facilities | 5 | They have a great library and computer lab, with a huge selection of books and media sources to gather information and do projects on. |
| Social Life | 4 | Very limited number of students attending. The social network is relatively dull and drab. |
| Placement Services | I was already working with my current company during my educational career and so therefore did not have to experience any of NHTI's career placement help. | |
| Alumni Network | We never had the opportunity to meet with any alumni or any support faculty members. |
