"The school did a very good job of working with me to achieve my goals. They also were very prompt in answering my questions."

Would Recommend?maybeIf someone has more time and wanted to pursue language studies, there are better universities. However, if they are on a difficult schedule, I think TE is a very good option.
Program Reputation3TE is not one of the more respected schools regarding language instruction. Many of these universities are not available to people on regular work schedules.
Program Quality5I would have preferred a school with a stronger Arabic program. However, TE was a better fit for my work schedule.
Instruction5The Arabic language department was not as strong as I would have liked it. However, it is an uncommon enough major that few schools offer it.
How Difficult5I had previous training in the language when I was in the Army. This made me feel a little over qualified for some of the instruction.
Hands-On vs. BookishThe instructors were very good at alternating between practical exercises and book work. They managed to provide both in a complimentary way.
Schedule Flexibility10This was the main reason I chose the school. It is hard to accommodate a regular work schedule and classes.
Academic Facilities4The major I chose was not one of the strongest offered in terms of support. Had I studied business there would have been a higher level of resources available to me.
Social Life1Most of my classes were online. To accommodate my work schedule there was not much time to take advantage of any social aspects of the school.
Placement Services8I did not use these services. However, I reviewed them and was very impressed by the level of assistance they offered.
Alumni Network8TE does a very good job of keeping in touch with alumni. They also offer several programs to help find jobs and network.

"I liked how it was when I was in school there. I was able to mostly learn on my own and just attend lectures."

Would Recommend?yesI would make sure they understood what it is like. There are no small classes and the resources are great if you make them.
Program Reputation10This was provided to me via my own professors telling us we are in a great program. The professors always made us feel like we were in a leading program in the country.
Program Quality5We were supposedly part of a great program, but I found out after I graduated that other schools offer much more. The alumni organization is not what I originally had thought.
Instruction7My professors were leading experts in their fields. I gained much insight studying there.
How Difficult9I had little sleep my junior and senior years. Studying was a mainstay.
Hands-On vs. BookishSome things were non-book related, but most professors followed a strict course guideline. None of my large classes did anything hands on.
Schedule Flexibility3Certain classes were completely inflexible. By the time I got to my senior year, I knew what to expect, though.
Academic Facilities5There are always considerable resources at a major university. They are hard to access sometimes, due to the volume of students in the areas.
Social LifePersonally, I felt shy and unaware of the parties going on. Looking back, I think I have some kind of social aversion.
Placement Services1Nothing was done for me. I had to do it all on my own. Everything they had was outdated.
Alumni Network1Although it seems like a big-name school, the alumni network has not worked for me. Maybe my experience is not unique.
